When a barcode matches, you skip typing and searching—ideal for repeat staples like snacks, drinks, and meal replacements.
Barcode scanning is usually strongest for packaged foods with a nutrition label: protein bars, cereal, frozen meals, yogurts, drinks, sauces, and snacks. For homemade meals or restaurants, voice or text is often faster and more flexible.
If a barcode is missing
Log with voice or text instead. If something looks wrong, use in-app feedback when available—corrections help everyone over time.
