HeyOakley help

Can I use HeyOakley without a smartwatch or fitness tracker?

Yes. A smartwatch can add useful workout and activity context, but HeyOakley’s core value—fast food logging, macro tracking, water tracking, and nutrition trends—does not require a wearable.

What still works without a wearable

  • Voice, text, and barcode food logging.
  • Calories, macros, and eating style presets.
  • Water tracking and meal journaling.
  • Manual weight check-ins and trend review.
  • Manual workout notes if you want to record activity without a watch.

What a watch adds

A wearable can make activity data easier to capture automatically. On iPhone, the supported path is Apple Watch through Apple Health / HealthKit. On Android, the supported path is a Google / Wear OS watch through Health Connect. But if you are mostly trying to improve meal consistency, protein intake, calories, or hydration, you can start with HeyOakley alone.
